The world is filled with special No-Fly Zones (NFZ) that encompass areas designated by the government as off limits. These areas have broad prohibited airspace designations that ban civilian aircraft, including commercial jets, from flying within the area and at a certain distance. Governments have the right to put NFZs anywhere they wish. For example, Afghanistan recently imposed a full ban on all foreign aircraft in its airspace. Other countries usually reserve the right to block off sensitive areas.

Usually, these No-Fly Zones include government buildings, military bases, testing ranges, and national monuments. Nuclear sites are off limits, so are Camp David and the island of Manhattan. These locations are common sense places to prohibit the use of civilian aircraft.

But what about Disney World?

The House of Mouse and Cinderella’s Castle share the same special status as these other places. Why?
