Who Was The First Magician To Pull A Rabbit Out Of A Hat?
And how the famous trick is completed
There are few things as iconic as pulling a rabbit out of a hat. This magic trick is one of the oldest and most famous parts of the modern magical trade. The trick has become so ubiquitous with the modern magician that white rabbits, top hats, and simple plastic wands remain enduring symbols of the magical arts. One only has to take one glance at a top hat on its head with a rabbit next to it to conjure the image of a professional magician. The same cannot be said of other combinations (say, a chick standing next to a baseball cap.) This raises the question, who was the first person to actually pull a rabbit out of a hat? Who put modern magicians on the path that we all recognize today?
Modern Magic Emerges
Magic has been a part of human culture and history for thousands of years. From the magical duels described in the Book of Exodus to the witchcraft trials of the Medieval Period, humans have grappled with magic and magicians in a myriad of different ways.
