Well, MAGA, You Were Duped
The grift worked. Now it is time to move on.
2028 feels so far away, but that is the next time that Americans will get the chance to vote for the president of the United States. Until then, we are stuck with Donald J. Trump, who has stumbled out of the gate in spectacular fashion to begin his second non-consecutive term as president. Even if something should happen to the current president, that would leave JD Vance as next in line to assume the office.
There will be no changing horses for the time being, and so we are all along for the ride.
The truth of the matter is that the Make America Great Again crowd was duped. It is not entirely their fault. They were sold a carefully curated bag of goods that was backed up by a (comparatively) successful first term by the Trump administration. They were fed a steady diet of well-seasoned red meat.
But this second term so far…
Woof.
It seems as though Trump has gone out of his way to violate every single campaign promise that he made and to do it in the most public way possible.
PROMISE: End forever wars and withdraw Americans from senseless conflicts around the world.
RESULT: Ongoing wars in Ukraine and Palestine. An ill advised strike against Iran.
