What would entice you to go and sit through a baseball game? How about a minor league baseball game? That is the question that the Frisco RoughRiders asked. For some of us, the answer to that question is quite a lot. Baseball is not exactly the world’s most thrilling sport. The Rough Riders are the AA affiliate of the Texas Rangers, and their answer to this question is a lazy river aimed at adults.

Let us ask the question again. Would you watch a minor league baseball game from the comfort of your own lazy river? If the answer is yes, you might want to take a trip to Riders Field in Frisco.

The RoughRiders installed a 3000-square-foot lazy river at the back of their park in 2016 and sell tickets aimed at different groups throughout the week.

By The Numbers

The lazy river is filled with 68,000 gallons of water. A full lap around the river is 400 feet. Food and drinks are included with certain packages, including alcoholic beverages on certain nights. Thursdays, for example, restrict the lazy river to baseball fans who are 21 and older. Sundays, the river is open to people of all ages.
