An automatic weapon that fires underwater sounds like something straight out of a James Bond movie. Who needs to have a fully automatic weapon that functions underwater? No one is having covert firefights underwater, are they? These questions become inevitable after you read about the APS Underwater Rifle. Not only is this gun designed to be fully functional underwater, but it also is fully automatic and has an entire magazine to go along with it.

The APS Underwater Rifle is an odd weapon that emerged from Russia during the Cold War (like many bizarre weapons tended to do) but was quickly pressed into military service. This is not some strange experimental one-off like the Soviet ray gun. These guns were mass-produced, and they are currently in service of thirteen separate nations.
