The University of Michigan Doesn’t Have a Mascot, So I Asked AI To Create One

It recently came to my attention that the University of Michigan does not use a sideline mascot during its sporting events. This seems like a large oversight in an era of national media attention and the popularity of other college mascots. How can Michigan take itself seriously when playing schools like Penn State with their Nittany Lion or Oregon with their iconic Duck mascot?

I get the fact that Michigan’s mascot, the Wolverine, might not be a great foundation for a sideline mascot. There is a chance it would be too similar to their arch-rival’s mascot, Bucky Badger. But that doesn’t mean that Michigan can’t have a mascot of its own. They just need to be more creative. So, I asked AI to generate a sideline mascot that would be suitable for the University of Michigan. Its name is Big Blue, and it is the future of Michigan athletics.

These are the kinds of tasks that AI was created for, no?

Meet Big Blue
