The Two Party System Is Destroying The United States
The problem isn’t Democrats or Republicans. It’s both.
The political system in the United States is broken. The fact that our ballots are going to read Donald J Trump and Joseph R Biden Junior this upcoming November tells me that something has gone terribly, terribly wrong. Voting for either one of these people gives me a lot of trepidation but those, somehow and inexplicably, are my only options. How did it come to this?
The Democrats and Republicans have won every presidential election since 1852. They have controlled Congress, either or, since 1856. They both scream that the other is the problem but they have, collectively, run this country for nearly two hundred years. They managed to crush every other political party and any murmur of dissent is ruthlessly put down.
Have you ever mentioned voting for a third party recently? The libertarians perhaps? Maybe the Green Party could use your vote. Any breath or mention of a third party is met with instant hostility and derision.
They’ll never win.
What a waste of a vote.
