Scientific Modeling Suggests The Parting of the Red Sea Could Have Occurred Naturally

It is a phenomenon we have seen before and even has happened recently

On September 10th, 2017, a strange phenomenon occurred in Tampa Bay, Florida. For a few hours, all of the water in the bay drained away, leaving large swaths of the seafloor exposed to the open air. Tampa residents poured out in disbelief. They had never seen the bay empty before, and it was unlikely they would ever see it that way again.

Officials warned residents to be careful and to stay away because the incident was going to be temporary. The water was going to come back, and when it did, it was going to happen quickly. The powerful winds of the approaching hurricane had pushed all of the water out of the bay. The strong easterly winds driven on the north side of the system were persistent enough to push all of the water out of the bay slowly and hold it in the Gulf of Mexico for an extended period.

This is called wind setdown, and it is rare. It only accompanies potent storm systems or a batch of strong winds.

The draining of water also happened to shallow bodies surrounding nearby Caribbean islands as well.
