Placebo says that you can gain positive results from an inert substitute. Nocebo says the opposite. You can gain negative effects from an inert substitute. The brain is an extremely valuable tool. Most people are running around trying to use placebo and manifestation to improve their lives without realizing the dangers of the opposite. Sinking into a state of pessimism can cause you to become sick and feel awful.
