Remember when numerous US naval vessels were swarmed by drones off the coast of Los Angeles in 2019? The incidents prompted UFO believers to hoot and holler about aliens coming to investigate our military capabilities. Thanks to new information we can safely assume that these incidents were likely caused by drones and the drones were probably Chinese. China has been spotted operating “research vessels” that are being accompanied by swarms of drones. These drones have been seen operating in coordinated swarms, have the ability to land on Chinese aircraft carriers, and even have vertical takeoff abilities. The unexplained incidents in 2019 dovetail perfectly with China’s new drone ambitions in the Pacific.

Even Joe Rogan, a long time UFO enthusiast, recently admitted that UFOs are probably “some crazy f*cking drone they have been working on for decades.” It is time for the rest of us to admit that UFO sightings are likely just drones. As banal as that explanation sounds it is the most probable explanation.

The Earliest UFO Sightings

The modern UFO movement began in earnest in the 1950s. People started seeing lights in the sky and writing sensational stories about the possibility of alien encounters. It is no coincidence that the 1950s is also when modern jet aircraft and massive military research spending also came into modern life. The Cold War prompted all manner of strange and out-of-this-world projects in the hopes of finding the next doomsday weapon to win the ideological struggle.

So-called ancient astronaut theorists point to the emergence of UFOs around the advent of nuclear technology as a sign that we drew the attention of nearby aliens with our repeated detonations. It is more likely that the government simply invested in new technology to safeguard the skies around the nuclear sites. The Russians were always the enemy, not little green men.

It is no coincidence that people started seeing lights in the skies in the same decade that governments around the world started putting thousands of fresh lights into the skies.

One of the most infamous UFO stories involved an ill-fated weather balloon. What is a weather…
