I want to refute a few of your points.
1. The early church (AD 30 - AD 200) was gaining little to no socio-economic benefit or control. The earliest adherents of Christianity were true believers marked by how many died as martyrs for no other reason than faith.
2. There have been billions of Christians throughout history. Yes, Christianity has been wielded as a tool by bad actors to foment violence but the vast vast majority of Christians are not this way. No one I know has converted anyone at sword point or gunpoint. I suspect that is true of most modern Christians.
3. I do agree that many "Christians" today and in the past were not true believers and did not have a firm grasp of their own faith and scriptures. But do not conflate those people with actual Christians.
Most Christians today are not barbarians. Neither are most Muslims. Bad people will use anything as a tool to gain power, including religion. It is poor taste to conflate those two things and write blanket statements about millions of adherents worldwide who have never hurt a fly, both Muslims and Christians.
Thanks for reading.
