I Tried Making AI Generated Art, and Here Is What I Ended Up With

Something really, really neat, and some stinkers

AI generated art is taking the internet by storm. More and more advanced tools are being released to the public allowing regular people (like myself) to create their very own AI generated creations. Most of these tools work by simply feeding the program a series of descriptive words describing what you want it to create. The AI then uses proprietary technology to draw up something that it thinks you will like. It is all very new and very cool. But it is not without controversy.

Some people have gotten very good at creating AI generated art, and that bothers some people. Someone was even kicked out of an art subreddit because their work resembled something AI generated. Some of the art created by advanced artificial intelligence is extremely disquieting.

All of these stories are fascinating, so I decided to give AI art a whirl. What could I possibly create? Would any of it be good? Could I become a famous digital sculptor? Let’s find out.
