Hey, thanks for the thoughts. I've gotten some feedback along this general vein so I want to address it quickly.

Early in the war, the German tanks were so superior and the enemy was so disorganized that they did not need to use these organized tactics as much as the Soviets did later. They were more on overrun mode rather than ambush mode.

In North Africa the terrain was such that these types of bottleneck attacks also did not occur often. But yes, this is a tactic that has been used by many military groups over the years but the Soviets really made it their main tactic late in the war.

As for the photos, it is hard to find unlicensed photos that fit your exact article! If you have any suggestions on where to find more free to use pictures I would be all ears.
