Tesla’s marketing material for their maligned Cybertruck claims that the vehicle is built for “any adventure” and can operate on “any planet.” But how about any battleground? In an odd story, a Russian warlord in Chechnya has reportedly deployed two Tesla Cybertrucks to the battleground in Ukraine. The Chechen president and warlord, Ramzan Kadyrov, has released videos of the Cybertrucks modified with large caliber machine guns on top while riding through remote terrain.

Kadyrov is backed by Russian president Vladimir Putin and is tasked with keeping a tight lid on the fractious region. It is unclear how the Tesla vehicles reached Chechnya to begin with or if the vehicles are actually slated to see combat.

When asked about the modified Cybertrucks, Kadyrov said:

Two more Cybertrucks have been sent to the zone of the special military operation. Western technology performs well against its own Western ‘Ukronazis.’ Mobility, convenience, maneuverability — such qualities of the electric vehicle are highly valued here. Remote deactivation has not affected them. The machines are operating normally without failures.
