Disney’s Most Unique Park Is In Japan (PHOTOS)
A look at Disney Sea
Many of Disney’s international theme parks are simple adaptations of the original Disneyland in California. The parks in Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and the original Tokyo Disney will all look and feel extremely familiar to anyone that has been to Disneyland in California. Even Disney World was founded as a copy of Disneyland when it opened in Florida. The truly original parks to come out of Disney’s arsenal have largely been built in Florida. That is, save for one.
Disney’s most original and unique park is actually their second Japanese park. Officially named Tokyo DisneySea, this park is one of the least known and most interesting parks ever to be built by the House of Mouse.
The park is built around a central lagoon and features a variety of different ports. Unlike other parks, you will not find any dwarven train rides here. Instead, you have a roller coaster based on Jules Verne’s Journey to the Center of the Earth, an interactive fortress, and a boat ride that takes you through the adventures of Sinbad.
DisneySea is extremely refreshing, with some truly unique rides and attractions that put it above many of the other Disney parks around the world. In fact, it might be my favorite Disney Park in close competition with Epcot’s World Showcase. (Be still…
