A Squid Game Scenario Could Be Happening Right Now
Each necessary factor can be found in our world making the situations in the show more plausible than you think
Netflix’s new hit show, Squid Game, is taking the world by storm. It is already the most-watched program in Netflix history and continues to drive viewers with a riveting blend of action, gore, emotion, and well-written characters. Squid Game is truly a phenomenon.
The show is about 456 players that agree to play a series of violent children’s games for the chance to win millions of dollars in the end. The games get increasingly difficult and arbitrary, and each player who loses one of the games is killed. At times the show is hard to watch but also, equally, impossible to look away from.
These people’s dark situation has viewers telling themselves that surely nothing like this could ever happen. Not really. Not for real. Unfortunately, that is not necessarily the case.
Four components led to the creation of the Squid Game in the TV show and all of those components can be found in our world. A plethora of missing people, a private island ignored by officials, willing participants, and a lot of money.
