Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, is the unofficial start to Christmas Season in the United States and elsewhere. Most office workers are free from their obligations until the following Monday, so retailers now try to lure them through the doors by offering high discounts and limited time deals. The result is a shopping frenzy that kicks off the holiday shopping window. Some people will not put up their Christmas trees or start listening to seasonal tunes until after Thanksgiving.
Now that Black Friday has officially passed, it is time to dive into Christmas Season. In order to celebrate, here are five interesting facts about Christmas to invigorate your brain.
1. Christmas Is Barely In Winter
One of my biggest gripes about Christmas is that it is hardly a winter holiday. The run up to Christmas features hot drinks, wishful thinking about snow, movies with characters bundled up in adorable winterwear, and ample references to the cold. (Baby, It’s Cold Outside!) Christmas is treated as the ultimate winter celebration, but it is just three days into winter.
